Mark feels dread about the future. So much so that he sometimes thinks avoiding the future might be inevitable.
What he doens’t see is that the crowded, detailed future he’s imagining is NOT the future he’s going to experience.
The actual future is completely empty. Nothing is “going to happen”. Nothing is inevitable, or even likely. His mind creates ideas and calls then his future. That’s what certainty-loving minds do. But those are fictional stories, not Mark’s future.
