Have you noticed how people often qualify what they want with their “terms”?
They want to be happy, or have a nice relationship, or have fulfilling work, but only “on their terms”. It has to show up a certain way–a way that our mind surely made up–in order for it to be okay.
“On my terms” is nothing but an incredibly limiting thought.
We tend to cling to our terms out of fear. Fear that life doesn’t have our back. Fear that if we don’t specify the terms, who knows what we might get.
But what if our specifying, and clinging to our terms, makes things harder? What if scrambling to manifest “our terms” doesn’t always benefit us?
What if life’s terms are perfect for us?
